Is this your brand? Claim this pageLEGO began in 1932 in Ole Kirk Kristiansen’s small carpenter’s workshop. Its name comes from the Danish words “leg godt”, meaning “play well”. The interlocking brick took its familiar form in 1958, giving builders a system they could assemble, pull apart and imagine again. That is the enduring invitation in a handful of bricks: the finished model is one possibility, and the next idea is already waiting among the pieces.
