In 1948, the Porsche 356 “No. 1” Roadster became the first car to carry the Porsche name. Built in Gmünd, Austria, it brought Ferry Porsche’s idea for a sports car into physical form. That starting point gives the badge a particular meaning: a designer’s ambition made visible in metal, proportion and movement. For discovery.day, the fascination begins there, with the way a car can turn an engineering idea into something you want to drive.
